Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso welcomed the entry of a new electric vehicle brand in the city, citing it as a sign of renewed investor confidence and economic activity in the capital.
Domagoso attended the grand dealer launch of the Chinese electric vehicle brand Omoda & Jaecoo in Otis, Paco, where he expressed appreciation to businesses that continue to invest in Manila.
The mayor said the entry of new companies is expected to generate employment opportunities and support local economic growth.
He also encouraged other investors to expand their operations in the city, assuring them of support from the local government.
City officials said the presence of new businesses, particularly in emerging industries such as electric vehicles, reflects improving business confidence in Manila.
The city government has been pushing initiatives aimed at attracting investments and supporting enterprises as part of its efforts to boost economic recovery.
