The Obando local government unit (LGU), led by Mayor Ding Valeda and the Sangguniang Barangay, immediately coordinated with Meralco to clear the debris and hasten repair operations.
Meralco linemen promptly arrived to inspect and address the nine fallen poles one by one.
Mayor Valeda assured residents that electricity is expected to be restored within 24 hours. He confirmed that no injuries were reported during the incident.
For public safety, the affected road has been closed to vehicles and pedestrians.
The mayor reminded residents to avoid approaching downed poles and cables while restoration work is ongoing.
Monitoring continues with the LGU, barangay officials, and emergency response teams ensuring swift action and community safety.
To assist those affected by the outage, Mayor Valeda announced that his home is open to residents who need to charge their cellphones and other essential gadgets, free of charge, until power is fully restored.
