Mayor Isko turns over 40 motorcycles to boost Manila police mobility
Manila Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso, on Tuesday, May 19, led the turnover of 40 motorcycles to the Manila Police District (MPD) to strengthen police mobility and improve emergency response across the city.
The units were formally presented during a ceremony at Manila City Hall, attended by Vice Mayor Chi Atienza and MPD director Brig. Gen. Arnold C Santiago.
City officials said the motorcycles, composed of Yamaha NMAX units, will be distributed to police stations throughout Manila to enhance patrol operations and visibility in key areas.
The additional vehicles are expected to enhance police officers' ability to respond more quickly to incidents, particularly in densely populated and high-traffic areas.
The turnover is part of the city government’s continuing support for law enforcement, aimed at improving public safety and maintaining peace and order in the capital.
