Bank of the Philippine Islands’ (BPI) digital wallet, VYBE, has entered into a partnership with M Lhuillier to offer free cash-in transactions across the non-bank financial firm’s network of more than 3,000 branches nationwide.

During the partnership launch, Eric Faustino, BPI head of digital partnerships and ecosystem, said the move is designed to bridge the gap between physical cash and digital finance for millions of Filipinos, particularly those in underserved regions.

Faustino added that the collaboration aims to bring digital financial tools closer to the everyday lives of consumers.

“This initiative reinforces BPI’s commitment to financial inclusion. By making cash-in services more accessible through a trusted partner, we are helping more Filipinos take their first step toward adopting digital financial tools in their daily lives,” Faustino said.

By utilizing M Lhuillier’s extensive physical footprint, VYBE users can deposit funds into their accounts without incurring additional costs, enabling them to access features such as QR Ph payments, free transfers to other banks, and rewards programs.

He noted that the collaboration provides a reliable and simple bridge for customers to transition toward digital solutions through a familiar branch environment.

She added that, “We know the reality on the ground. Many of our customers still operate in cash. They work hard, they send money home, they pay bills in person. The jump to digital can feel distant if cashing in is expensive or far away.”

Robin said the company takes financial inclusion seriously and has thus opened branches in far-flung towns and invested in compliance and training for its frontline associates.
