When we are confined in a hospital, one of the most tedious parts involves having to navigate around various laboratories and health departments. Often, test areas are found on a different wing entirely. This burden goes for doctors and nurses as well, as there are those who have to take a longer path just to make rounds and check on their patients. St. Luke’s Quezon City hopes to alleviate this problem with the construction of its new North Hospital Building.
While the building is still empty, it’s exciting to wonder just how the 13-storey facility will soon be home to over 132 patient rooms, expanded outpatient, diagnostic, and therapeutic areas, advanced surgical suites, and dedicated spaces for specialized care services. Nearly 80 percent of the hospital's existing services are expected to make the move soon to ensure greater accessibility and convenience for patients and medical professionals alike.

High hopes were all around during the topping-off ceremony held on April 20. With the hospital’s recent recognition as the Tertiary Hospital of the Year at the Healthcare Asia Awards 2026, this significant milestone is a hopeful sign of further improving healthcare facilities within the Metro. “We aim to introduce a smart hospital,” shares St. Luke’s Quezon City senior vice president and medical director Dr. Deborah Ignacia Ona. “We plan to have a system where everything is centralized.”
St. Luke’s Quezon City is located next to the St. Luke’s College of Medicine and aims to open the facility by 2027.
