Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation has updated the Triton in the local market with black exterior accents across the lineup, along with a cabin change for the GLS.
The GX and GLX now come with black door handles, black side mirrors, and a black rear bumper. On the GLX, the 18-inch alloy wheels are now finished in black instead of gray.
The Triton GLS gets the same black exterior details, then adds more model-specific changes. Its Dynamic Shield front fascia is now blacked out, the alloy wheels are black, the fender arch moldings are black, and the front under garnish also switches to black. Those changes give the GLS a more uniform dark finish than before.
Inside, the GLS now comes with black leather seats in place of the previous high-grade fabric seats. That is the main cabin revision mentioned in the release.
The update does not change the Triton’s role in Mitsubishi’s local lineup. It remains positioned as a pickup for work, daily use, and mixed road conditions, with the visual changes focused on giving it a tougher and more distinct appearance.
Mitsubishi is tying the revised look to the tagline “Born For The Grind,” linking the pickup’s styling update to the kind of day-to-day and work-related use that continues to define the Triton in the Philippines.
For buyers comparing variants, the GX and GLX receive the simpler exterior treatment, while the GLS gets the more complete blacked-out package and the added leather seat upgrade. That gives the higher variant a clearer visual separation within the range.
This refresh is mainly cosmetic, but it is broad enough to be noticeable across the lineup. The darker trim, black wheels, and revised GLS interior bring a more aggressive look to the Triton without changing its core identity as Mitsubishi’s work-ready pickup.
