City park Christmas lighting ushers in holiday season in Carmona

CAVITE – The local government unit (LGU) of Carmona City welcomed the holiday season with Tanglaw: Christmas Lighting event at the city park on Friday, Nov. 28.

Present during the Christmas lighting ceremony were Mayor Dahlia A. Loyola, Cavite 5th District Rep. Roy M. Loyola, and other local officials.
In her speech, Mayor Loyola acknowledged that times are hard, with all the issues the country is facing at the moment.
“Healing will come, at sana nga ang pasko na ito ay magdulot ng maraming liwanag at matapos ang mga sigalot na nangyayari sa ating kapaligiran (And hopefully this Christmas brings plenty of light and puts an end to the conflicts happening around us),” the mayor said.

Loyola also said that the LGU’s gifts to the people are the numerous awards it has earned throughout the year, which prove its commitment to good governance.
Musical performances from local artists and groups added color to the ceremony, enhancing the festive mood at the city park.
