Farm Fresh guns for a spot in the quarterfinals when it takes on Petro Gazz, while Capital1 and Chery Tiggo clash in their bid to boost their Final 8 campaigns in the Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference at the Filoil EcoOil Arena in San Juan City on Tuesday, Nov. 11.
Toting a 4-1 card, another win for the Foxies in their 4 p.m. tussle with the Angels (3-2) would earn them a seat with early quarterfinalists ZUS Coffee Thunderbelles (6-0) and PLDT High Speed Hitters (5-1).
Capital1, meanwhile, is out to improve its 3-2 card in the middle standings when it battles Chery Tiggo (1-4) in the 6:30 p.m. nightcap.
Coming off a week-long break after a four-set victory over Choco Mucho, Farm Fresh hopes to sustain its rhythm and fully regain the firepower that defined its early run. The Foxies opened the tournament with three straight wins before falling to the High Speed Hitters, then bounced back at the expense of the Flying Titans.
Helene Rousseaux is expected to deliver another explosive performance for the Foxies, having consistently put up big numbers, including a 27-point outing against Choco Mucho.
Offense is also expected to come from local standouts Trisha Tubu and Ces Molina, who combined for 28 points the last time.
But Petro Gazz is out to bounce back from a straight-set loss to ZUS Coffee that dropped them to 3-2.
Armed with the deadly troika of Brooke Van Sickle, Lindsey Vander Weide and MJ Phillips, along with veterans Azia Pontillas and Myla Pablo, expect the Angels to put on the necessary stops to keep their campaign alive.
In the other pairing, Capital1 seeks to ride the crest of its morale-boosting victories over Cignal and Choco Mucho that hiked its tally to 3-2 along with Petro Gazz.
The dynamic import-local tandem of Oleksandra Bytsenko and Bella Belen is set to fuel the Solar Spikers’ resolve, though they are not taking the Crossovers lightly especially with their rivals aching to crawl back from a four-set loss to the Creamline Cool Smashers that slip them to 1-4.
