Taguig police arrested a 31-year-old man after he yielded shabu in a buy-bust operation on Oct. 27.
The operation was conducted by the Taguig police’s Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
The suspect was identified as alias Norudin, a resident of Purok 3 in Barangay New Lower Bicutan, Taguig.
Seized from him six plastic sachets containing shabu, weighing 50.2 grams valued at P341,360, a genuine P500 bill used as the buy-bust money, and five P500 boodle bills.
The suspect, tagged as a high-value individual, was arrested for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002). He is under police custody and will be charged for the crime.
Brig. Gen. Randy Arceo, acting district director of the Southern Police District, said, “We will not relent in our fight against illegal drugs. The Southern Police District will continue to pursue and arrest those who threaten the safety and well-being of our citizens.”
