House Speaker Faustino "Bojie" Dy III--the county's fourth highest-ranked official--has declared a net worth of P74.019 million.
This was based on the details of his statement of assets, liabilities, and net worth (SALN), which he voluntarily shared to House of Representatives reporters on Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 22.
Dy, Isabela's 6th district congressman, listed total assets worth P121.144 million and total liabilities worth P47.124 million. The difference is his net worth.
Also on Wednesday, Dy announced the revival of the House SALN Review and Compliance Committee. The was in line with the provisions of Republic Act (RA) No. 6713 and consistent with the Speaker’s earlier statements regarding revisiting the House’s guidelines on the release of SALNs.
Public clamor for the release of lawmakers' SALNs--a measure of a person's wealth--had snowballed amid the flood control projects corruption scandal. Dy was among the first solons to heed this appeal.
The only officials ranked higher than Dy are President Marcos, Vice President Sara Duterte, and Senate President Vicente "Tito" Sotto III.
A good chunk of the House Speaker's assets--P32.528 million--came from real properties. These came in the form of 13 lots, 11 of which were agricultural in nature and were acquired between 1983 and 1996. Two lots were residential.
Dy also listed three houses and five vehicles--a Ford Transit Minibus, a Toyota LC76 Series, a Toyota Hilux-FX, a Toyota Alphard Van, and a Hi-Ace Super Grandia.
He declared four businesses wherein he was either a partner or stockhokder of--Queen Isabela Agriventures; Love Cakes by Ann & Gan Co.; Isabela Hotel & Resort by Dy, Inc.; and Northeastern Broadcasting Service, Inc.
As for liabilities, Dy declared "amounts payable" worth P40 million, and an "agricultural loan" worth P7.124 million.
