The three newest members of the House of Representatives--Abono Party-list Rep. Robert Raymund Estrella, Murang Kuryente Party-list Rep. Arthur Cua Yap, and Ang Probinsyano Party-list Rep. Alfred Co delos Santos--were sworn in by Speaker Faustino "Bojie" Dy III on Thursday, Oct. 2.
Estrella, Yap, and De los Santos took their oaths of office separately and in that order during lulls in Thursday night's plenary session.
This was mere hours after their respective party-lists were declared a victors in May 2025 mid--term polls by the Commission on Elections (Comelec). The recent disqualification of Duterte Youth Party-list paved the way for their victory.
Majority Leader Ilocos Norte 1st district Rep. Sandro Marcos announced the receipt of the trio's respect proclamations during plenary session.
Dy, who represents Isabela's 6th district, administered the oaths of Estrella, Yap, and Delos Santos on the plenary rostrum.
With the entry of the three solons, the membership of the House of Representatives in the 20th Congress has ballooned to 318.
