K-pop group BOYNEXTDOOR, BTS' Jin top weekly album chart
K-pop boy band BOYNEXTDOOR and BTS’ Jin grabbed the first two places in the weekly album chart with their new releases.
Korea’s Hanteo Chart released the rankings for the weekly physical album chart for May 12 to 18.
BOYNEXTDOOR’s fourt min-album “No Genre” bagged first place in the weekly album chart with 1.08 million copies sold or an equivalent of 1.15 million points in physical record index, which combined album sales and album prices.
BTS’ Jin’s “Echo” placed second with 728,070 copies sold or a PRI of 945,706.
In third palace is Meovv’s “My Eyes Open Wide” with 255,005 copies sold or a PRI of 383,052, followed by TripleS’s “ASSEMBLE25,” which recorded 516,626 copies sold (265,578 in PRI), and Beomgyu’s “Beomgyu’s Mixtape: Panic” (44,114 copies sold or a PRI of 94,404).
BOYNEXTDOOR’s “No Genre” reached one million copies in sales in just five days after its release on May 13. On May 17, Hanteo Chart recorded 1.07 million copies sold.
This surpassed the first-week sales of BOYNEXTDOOR’s third mini-album “19.99” of 759,156 copies.
The first-week sales of their first and second mini-albums were about 450,000 and 530,000 copies, respectively.
