Imee Marcos 'forgets' PBBM, but thanks Dutertes in proclamation speech

Senator Imee Marcos, who secured a fresh mandate during the polls, "forgot" to mention her own brother, President Marcos, during her proclamation speech on Saturday, May 17.
But she didn't forget to thank her mother, former first lady Imelda Marcos; as well as former president Rodrigo Duterte and impeached Vice President Sara Duterte during the momentous occasion at the Manila Hotel Tent.
"Ay, nakalimutan ko na (Oops, I forgot)" Marcos told the media when asked why she did not mention her brother in her speech.
Senator Marcos and President Marcos recently had friction over disagreement's in the arrest and turnover of former president Duterte to the International Criminal Court (ICC). Later, in political advertisment, the lady senator even claimed that the Philippines was no longer controlled by the Marcoses but by the Romualdez and Aranetas.
She was pertaining to House Speaker Martin Romualdez and First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos.
Senator Marcos was originally part of the president-backed Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas senatorial slate until she broke away from the coalition and became an adopted candidate of the pro-Duterte "DuterTen".

Senator Marcos has been a personal friend and big supporter of Vice President Duterte, who has had a very public falling out with President Marcos. The latter two were political allies during the 2022 elections. 
Senator Marcos started her two-minute proclamation speech with a message of gratitude to her mother and the Dutertes.
She said: "[Maraming salamat] sa aking nanay na... 96 years old na at kasama ng aking mga anak na kailan man na di nagdududa na ako'y manalalo (I want to express my gratitude to my mother, who is now 96 years old and now joins my children here. She never doubted my victory)."
"[Maraming salamat din] kay Presidente Duterte, ang aking dating pangulo, na Oktubre pa lamang itinaas na ang aking kamay. At sa kanyang anak, na hanggang sa huling sandali, si VP Inday Duterte ay ako'y kinakampanya (I would also like to thank President Duterte, my former president, who already raised my hand as early as October, and his daughter, Vice President Sara Duterte, who had campaigned for me until the very end)," she added.
