LTFRB summons driver, owner of bus in Quezon Avenue tunnel road crash

The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) summoned the registered owner of the passenger bus that hit two vehicles and a motorcycle inside the Quezon Avenue tunnel on Wednesday morning that left six people injured.
In the Show Cause Order (SCO) issued by the LTFRB, the driver of the bus was also summoned and ordered to submit an explanation on the incident and why they should not be penalized.
On the part of the registered owner, it was ordered to submit a written explanation as to why its Certificate of Public Convenience (CPC) should not be suspended, cancelled or revoked for employing a reckless driver.
Based on the initial investigation, the policeman was intervening in the alleged quarrel of two UV Express drivers inside the tunnel at around 7 a.m. on Wednesday when the speeding bus arrived and hit one of the vehicles.
As a result, the car that was hit rammed the other vehicle and the motorcycle owned by the policeman.
The incident caused a monstrous traffic jam in the area. On the other hand, the injured victims were taken to the hospitals.
