CAVITE – Board member and gubernatorial candidate Abeng Remulla cast his vote at Tambo Malaki Elementary School in Indang on Monday, May 12.
He arrived at the polling center with his father, Justice Sec. Boying Remulla and his brother, reelectionist Cavite 7th District Rep. Ping Remulla.
Speaking to reporters after voting, Remulla shared his intention to shape his own leadership style while staying mindful of his roots if elected.
“I have to take everything into consideration, what my father has done, my uncle, my grandfather, and forge my own path from there. I can’t give you an exact adjective on what my government would be like, but just know that I will take into consideration everything that’s happened in our family before,” Remulla said.
Abeng’s grandfather, Juanito Remulla Sr., served as Cavite governor in the 70s to 90s. His father, Sec. Boying Remulla served as the province’s chief executive from 2016 to 2019.
His uncle, Jonvic Remulla, meanwhile, served as Cavite governor from 2010 to 2016, and again from 2019 to 2024, when he stepped down upon his appointment as interior and local government secretary.
