NASUGBU, Batangas – A man and his nephew drowned while fishing on the Palico River in Barangay Bilaran here on Tuesday, June 18.
Police identified the victims as Rodolfo Catapang Jr. and his nephew John Arvin Mico, residents of Barangay Bilaran.
The victims left their house at 11 a.m. to fish on the river.
However, they failed to return at 4 p.m., prompting their relatives to search for them.
Five hours later at 9 p.m., Mico’s body was found on the bottom of the river by relative Edmundo Catapang.
The search for Rodolfo’s body is ongoing.
