She may have planned and waited for this long Holy Week break for her much-deserved vacation —until one bad joke spoiled it all.

The Lenten vacation destination of a woman took a wrong turn on Wednesday, March 27, after she was arrested for making a bomb joke at the Passenger Terminal Building of Port of Puerto Galera in Oriental Mindoro.

A report reaching the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) disclosed that the woman was waiting for her turn to enter at the terminal building when she was heard saying that she was carrying a bomb.

During that time, her baggage was about to be subjected to inspection via an X-ray machine.

Personnel from the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) immediately responded and arrested the woman.

So instead of reaching her destination, her travel was diverted to the nearest police station for an unexpected staycation in jail.

The woman is now facing a case of violation of the Presidential Decree No. 1727, or the Anti-Bomb Joke Law.
