The war in Ukraine rages on with nine more reported dead in an air strike on a military base near Lviv, and the United Kingdom asking its people to open their homes to Ukrainian refugees.
The Covid-19 alarm is up anew in China as millions are reported placed on lockdown in what is the worst outbreak of the coronavirus in two years. This is apparently the same in Brazil where new records of 45,020 daily infections and 389 fatalities were reported.
Meanwhile, Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III disclosed that overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) would soon be given expanded insurance coverage that would ensure their protection in case of death, disability, repatriation, medical emergency and litigation.
