Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano on Monday ordered the 201 barangay officials in the city to implement the use of quarantine pass for all individuals going in and out of their residences while Metro Manila is under the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) from March 29 to April 4.

Rubiano said that each household will have a quarantine pass that will be used in going to the public market, supermarket, drugstore, and other similar establishments to purchase essential items.
The mayor attended the meeting of the 201 barangay chairmen in the city with Liga ng mga Barangay President Councilor Julie Gonzales and Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Pasay City Director Gloria Aguilar that decided on the implementation of quarantine pass for residents.
Rubiano said the old quarantine pass issued by each barangay to their constituents during ECQ last year can still be used in going out of their residences for essential travel.
She said the barangays will be issuing new quarantine passes to residents who have lost their pass issued to them last year and to new residents in the city.
She added that the barangays can also issue quarantine passes to essential workers without ID. However, they can also present a certificate of employment for them to be allowed entry and exit.
Rubiano said the use of quarantine passes will also lessen the number of individuals loitering around the city and stop the spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
As of March 28, the city Health Office (CHO) recorded a total of 818 active cases and 116 new cases.
