Amid the growing clamor for her presidential bid in the May 2022 polls, Vice President Leni Robredo is focused on helping Filipinos get past the crisis of coronavirus disease.

On Thursday, she visited some communities in Bulacan to provide cash assistance that would support their livelihood.
She went first to Pandi town, where she met the members of Inga Fashion Designs, another sewing group that has taken part in the OVP’s local production of PPE suits for frontliners.
In Hagonoy, Robredo gave livelihood subsidy to fisherfolk group Pinagbuklod Samahan ng mga Mangingisda sa Hagonoy (PINAGSAMA).
Robredo, in a video posted on her Facebook page, said she handed over cash aid for the establishment of cooperative stores that would sell fishing supplies.
She also turned over livelihood assistance to the Bulacan Motor Riders Federation, Inc. in Malolos City. It is an organization composed of members of the transport and informal workers sectors.
The subsidy will be used to build a consumer cooperative store, her office said.
Despite being busy with her office’s livelihood programs and initiatives, Robredo's partymates and supporters are continuing to bid for her candidacy in the 2022 presidential polls.
Senator Francis Pangilinan, president of the Liberal Party, said on Thursday that the vice president is among those being considered by the LP to run as president next year.
But he clarified that the party has not made its final decision on the matter because they are still busy with their COVID-19 response.
As the highest elected official of the party, Robredo is the party’s chairperson.
