Akbayan Party-list Rep. Perci Cendaña told former president Rodrigo Duterte to "take full responsibility" on his bloody war on drugs.
This, after authorities in Manila allegedly served to Duterte an arrest warrant from the International Criminal Court (ICC).
"Hurry up, ICC pala, ha? (You told ICC to hurry up, right?) You asked for it, now here it is. Take full responsibility for the thousands of deaths caused by your bloody and morally bankrupt war on drugs," Cendaña said.
"Wala ka nang kawala. Tama na ang drama (You have no escape. Enough drama). Time’s up! The day of reckoning has come, and there’s no escape from justice," the congressman added.
"We're relieved that the world finally sees your legacy for what it is — grave human rights abuses, rampant corruption, and a thirst for power...The crimes you commited against humanity will always precede you," Cendaña said of the 79-year-old Duterte.

Duterte served as president from 2016 to 2022.
The ICC is based at The Hague in the Netherlands.
