The Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (FFCCCII) has elected industrialist and philanthropist Victor Lim as its new president for a two-year term, a significant outcome of their dynamic biennial national convention.

This four-day event in Metro Manila, held across iconic venues—SMX Convention Center, Manila Hotel, Marriott Grand Ballroom, East Ocean Palace Restaurant, Century Seafood Restaurant and Gloria Maris Seafood Restaurant, Mall of Asia *(MOA), among others was a vibrant blend of rigorous policymaking, celebratory camaraderie, and a deep appreciation for heritage. The convention featured high-level symposiums with economic leaders like Secretary Frederick Go and Education Secretary Sonny Angara, alongside engagements with Speaker Martin Romualdez.

Beyond policy, the event fostered community through receptions hosted by Philtrust Bank and the Liwayway Group, with the presence of scions of past FFCCCII leaders highlighting the organization’s enduring legacy.
The collaborative spirit was further evident in receptions hosted by Alfredo Yao's Philippine Business Bank and Carlos Chan's Liwayway Group/Oishi. The culmination was a historic election where 800 delegates, overseen by SGV, elected Victor Lim.

Victor Lim, 68, brings a wealth of experience to the presidency. A University of Santo Tomas-trained chemical engineer and leader of Veco Paper Corporation and Everwealth Traders, his career reflects FFCCCII’s commitment to business excellence with social responsibility. His four decades of involvement in trade and education mirror the federation’s values.

For the 71-year-old FFCCCII, deeply embedded in the Philippines' fabric, Lim's leadership amplifies their mission of uplifting lives. Building on the work of his predecessor, Dr. Cecilio Pedro, Lim inherits an organization navigating global challenges and digital transformation. Delegates expressed confidence in his ability to bridge tradition and progress, as noted by one young business leader.

The convention concluded with an optimistic gala, solidifying FFCCCII’s path forward: a fusion of heritage and progress under a leader rooted in legacy yet focused on nation-building. For Victor Lim and the federation, the work ahead is a continued commitment to the Philippines’ growth and well-being.
