Around P1.5 million worth of property was damaged in a fire that broke out at a commercial building on Beaterio Street, corner Cabildo Street, in Intramuros, Manila, on Saturday, January 4.
According to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), the blaze started at 8:06 a.m. inside an office room occupied by a travel agency.
The fire quickly escalated, prompting the BFP to raise it to the second alarm at 8:07 a.m. and to the third alarm at 8:23 a.m.
Firefighters successfully contained the flames by 9:10 a.m., preventing further damage.
No injuries were reported during the incident.
The authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire.
