P1.2-M shabu, firearms seized from high-value drug pusher, 4 others in Rizal


Authorities arrested five individuals, including a high-value drug pusher, in two separate buy-bust operations in Rizal, and seized P1,230,800 worth of shabu and firearms.

In Antipolo City, a buy-bust operation conducted on Wednesday, Jan. 29, resulted in the arrest of “John,” 28, tagged as a high-value individual (HVI). He was caught in the act of selling illegal drugs, leading to the seizure of over 128 grams of shabu worth P870,400.

Police also confiscated a 9mm pistol, a magazine, four live ammunition, two pieces of P1,000 bills, and a black sling bag.

The suspect is now in the custody of the Antipolo PNP and will face charges for violations of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, and illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.

Meanwhile, four other drug suspects were also arrested during a buy-bust operation conducted by the Taytay Municipal Police Station in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Barangay San Juan, Taytay, on Jan. 28.

The pieces of evidence recovered

The Rizal Police Provincial Office (Rizal PPO) identified the suspects as “Ake,” 30; “Dale,” 38; “Kambal,” 48; and “Benjie,” 50. 

Recovered during the operation were six packets of suspected shabu weighing approximately 53 grams, valued at P360,400. Also confiscated were a .45 caliber Remington pistol, a magazine, five live rounds, one shoulder bag, and P1,500 in buy-bust money.

The suspects are currently detained at the Taytay Custodial Facility and are facing charges for violations of R.A. 9165 and R.A. 10591 or the Firearms Law, in relation to Batas Pambansa Blg. 881 (Omnibus Election Code of the Philippines).
