2 persons shot dead in Quezon

SARIAYA, Quezon – Two individuals were shot dead in this town on Tuesday, Jan. 28.

Police identified the victims as Alex Cadiao, 54, a farmer, and Mico.

Cadiao was walking on his way to his farm when a man appeared and shot him. He died on the spot.

Mico was driving when a man boarded his car and shot him in the head. The victim was taken to a hospital where he was declared dead.

Police are conducting follow-up investigation and manhunt operations against the suspects.

Meanwhile, a 16-year-old student was killed in a collision with a pickup truck in Barangay Gulang Gulang, Lucena City, this province, on Tuesday afternoon.

Investigation said the motorcycle of the victim, Alberto Ria Sera, went under the vehicle driven by Rogelio Alterado, 45. The pickup truck moved in reverse and Sera was run over in the upper part of his body. Sera sustained serious injuries and died on the spot.

Alterado was taken into custody by the police and faces a case of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide and damage to property.
