Horti Filipina - International Plant Show 2025: A premier horticultural extravaganza


Step into the grandest and most dynamic horticultural event of the year—the Horti Filipina - International Plant Show 2025.

 Recognized as the Philippines' premier horticultural gathering, this event, which will be held Feb. 21 to Feb. 23 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City, will offer a 5-in-1 dimensional showcase of not just plants, but also exotic pets and fur babies, koi breeds, game fowls, and the vibrant offerings of the Philippine Hot Sauce Club. 

Among the highlights of the event would be the meet and greet with social media personality and plant icon Kunzo Nishihata of Japan. He will be showcasing a curated selection of plants will be available for sale to the public.

Joining him are esteemed guests from Ecuador, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam and Australia, who will be sharing their expertise and passion with attendees. 

The event kicks off on Feb. 21 with Melissa Travis of Suloy delving into the intricate world of Philippine native plants, and the meet-and greet with plant master and horticulturist Nishihata.

The other speakers for the three-day event, who would be highlighting the botanical wonders of the Philippines and commercial aspects and prospects of the horticulture industry, are (Feb. 22) Dr. Ephraim Cercado, Dr. Jasper John Obico, Fernando Aurigue, Dr. Rosario Rubite, Wally Suarez, Dr. Victor Amoroso, and Dr. Maria Melanie Medecillo-Guiang. 

On Feb. 23, the speakers are Michael Caballes, Michael Ferrero from Australia, Ponchit Ponce Enrile, Cris Siegfried Onari, Rey Pimentel, and Dr. Maria Luisa Guevarra and Prof. Raymundo Lucero.

Horti Filipina will also be recognizing hybrids created by Filipinos.

With categories covering everything from aroids to succulents, variegated plants to rare specimens, the competition is fierce and thrilling.
