It may be very early in the year, but Wilcon Depot had excellent reasons to turn Jan. 21, 2025, into an evening of profound celebration. The night was the culmination of a landmark year that saw Wilcon Depot opening the doors of its 100th store in the country - in Lubao, Pampanga, and it also marks the 48th year of this remarkable entrepreneurial Wilcon journey, that has seen it become the byword for furnishings and home needs.
William Belo, Lorraine Belo-Cincochan, and Rosemarie B. Ong were in a nostalgic mood as they recalled the very first Wilcon Depot that opened back then along Quezon Avenue in Quezon City. They spoke of determination, commitment, resilience, and that unwavering belief in how they were a true value proposition for architects, homeowners, real estate developers, and for other stakeholders. Given the 100 locations, mention was also made of the opportunities for employment that Wilcon represented, as these depots dot the whole country, from North to South, and points in between.
Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte, Robina Gokongwei-Pe, former Senator Dick Gordon, and Edu Manzano were among the night’s special guests. Issa Litton and RJ Ledesma took on the hosting duties, and the likes of Sitti and the Company provided the musical entertainment. And what couldn’t be missed was how Belo, Lorraine, and Rosemarie table-hopped to show their appreciation to all who had shown up to celebrate with them. From stakeholders to suppliers, and friends, the Wilcon family is an extended one, that means so much to all "family members."
