As part of the “Oplan: Summer Vacation” (SUMVAC) 2025 initiative, the Negros Occidental police has set up 278 Police Assistance Desks (PADs) in strategic locations, including recreational spots, religious sites, terminals, and ports.
Security measures were further reinforced by the deployment of beat patrollers and undercover personnel.
Road safety marshals and traffic enforcers will be stationed on key routes to manage traffic flow and ensure safe travel while force multipliers will help bolster overall operations.
Police Col. Rainerio de Chavez, Negros Occidental police chief, urged the public to stay alert and report suspicious activities as criminal elements may take advantage of the Lenten season.
He assured that authorities are fully prepared to keep locals and tourists safe throughout the summer season.
