The Lady Spikers recovered from a third-set hiccup and banked on Shevana Laput and Angel Canino's power hits against the surging Eagles.

Aside from improving its record to 4-2, the win marked La Salle's 15th consecutive triumph over Ateneo since May 2017 or in Season 79.

Laput took the spotlight as she tallied her career-high of 25 points on 19 attacks, three blocks, and three aces while Canino poured in 17 points with eight excellent digs and four excellent receptions.

Alleiah Malaluan and Amie Provido added 12 and seven points while Mikole Reyes chalked 20 excellent sets.

Lyann De Guzman topscored anew for Ateneo after listing 16 points with nine excellent digs and five excellent receptions while AC Miner and Zey Pacla backstopped her with 13 and six points, respectively.

Those efforts, however, were not enough as Ateneo suffered its third consecutive loss for a 1-5 slate at ninth.
