The Office of the Vice President (OVP) confirmed that the official arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) on Tuesday, March 11, at around 3:21 PM via Philippine Airlines (PAL) PR 319.
“The Vice President is accompanied by her children and will address any relevant matters at the appropriate time,” Duterte's office said in a statement.
“We kindly ask for your understanding as she attends to these matters," it added.
Former president Rodrigo Duterte was arrested upon landing from Hong Kong at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 on the basis of an arrest warrant from the International Criminal Court (ICC) for crimes against humanity.
The Vice President was in Hong Kong over the weekend. She attended the “Pasasalamat kay PRRD with OFWS (overseas Filipino workers)” event at the Southorn Stadium in Wan Chai, Hong Kong.
There, she admitted to being deceived into believing that President Marcos has the same vision as hers for the Philippines.
She urged voters to be critical of who they vote for, and apologized for seeking their support for the President, whom she ran with under the UniTeam alliance.
