On the afternoon of Feb. 1, 2025, Makati Hope Christian School marked a momentous milestone—its 40th anniversary—at The Theatre at Solaire in Parañaque City, coinciding with the festive spirit of the Chinese New Year. This spectacular event, hosted by the school’s board of directors, drew over 2,500 attendees, with participation from both the Makati and Ortigas campuses. The celebration was not only a joyous reflection on four decades of educational excellence but also a powerful testimony to God’s unwavering faithfulness, with the entire school community coming together to honor and give glory to Him for His guidance and blessings throughout the years.

At the heart of the celebration, Dr. Marivic L. Daguio, the school principal, delivered a powerful address, taking the audience on a journey through Makati Hope Christian School’s 40-year legacy. She spoke with passion about the trust, perseverance, and unwavering commitment that have defined the school’s success, and how these values have shaped generations of students. Drawing from her personal experiences, Dr. Daguio shared a meaningful reflection on the role of faith in overcoming challenges, quoting the Bible verse, "But those who wait for the Lord will renew their strength." This verse, she explained, has been a guiding light for the school, reminding everyone that God’s faithfulness has been the cornerstone of their growth and achievements over the past four decades.

Sarah Roxas-Wage, president, school’s board of directors, delivered a heartfelt address that resonated with the audience. She emphasized that Makati Hope Christian School is not only committed to academic achievement but also to nurturing students who integrate knowledge with God’s Word. She highlighted how the school aims to cultivate future leaders who glorify God through their actions and contribute meaningfully to society. A standout moment of the evening came with the unveiling of the school’s English hymn, a long-awaited debut that symbolizes a new chapter in the school’s legacy, reinforcing its vision of faith-centered education for the generations to come.

The three-hour celebration highlighted the school’s commitment to honoring God, with students from preschool to high school passionately lifting up the name of Jesus. The standout moment was the student-performed musical, A Hidden Hope, based on the book of Esther, which depicted the Israelites’ journey from oppression to renewed hope. The 75-minute performance left the audience in awe, showcasing both the students’ talent and the depth of their faith. This unforgettable production not only entertained but also reinforced the school’s mission to integrate faith with learning, shaping spiritually grounded and academically driven students.

Since its founding in 1985, Makati Hope Christian School has remained committed to nurturing students rooted in God’s truth and purpose. With the highest educational accreditation in the Philippines, the school offers a diverse curriculum from preschool through high school, including Christian education, Chinese language, mathematics, science, and physical education. What sets the school apart is its holistic approach to education, integrating faith with academic excellence. The school also supports its growing international community through the International Students Service Department, providing resources for non-English-speaking families. In a bold move towards future-ready education, the school’s robotics lab has been fully upgraded to an AI-driven system, equipping students with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in the rapidly evolving world of technology.
