Party-list Coalition Foundation Inc. (PCFI) President Ako-Bicol Party-list Rep. Zaldy Co heads the list of 25 House members who want their names added to the 215 signatories of the impeachment complaint against Vice President Sara Duterte.

House Secretary General Reginald Velasco said in a statement Friday, Feb. 7 that all 25 solons have submitted their verification forms as complainants in the bid to oust the embattled lady official.

The fourth impeachment complaint against Vice President Duterte--signed by 215 congressmen--was referred to the Senate on Wednesday, thus compelling the chamber to convene into a quasi-judicial impeachment court.

According to Velasco, the 25 lawmakers were unable to be physically present during the initial oath-taking and verification due to commitments abroad or in their respective districts.

But they have since sent their respective verifications to the House of Representatives to formalize their support for the impeachment proceedings.

Velasco's statement basically confirmed Lanao del Sur Rep. Zia Alonto Adiong's remarks Thursday wherein he said that more solons wanted to sign on for the impeachment but were unable to do so for one reason or another.

Aside from Co, the 25 new complainants are Lakas-CMD Party members Biñan Rep. Marlyn “Len” Alonte, Cagayan Rep. Ramon Nolasco Jr., Isabela Rep. Tonypet Albano, and Lanao del Norte Rep. Mohamad Khalid Dimaporo, Leyte Rep. Carl Nicolas Cari, Masbate Reps. Richard Kho, Olga “Ara” Kho, and Wilton Kho, Negros Occidental Rep. Emilio Bernardino Yulo, Quirino Rep. Midy Cua, Sultan Kudarat Rep. Princess Rihan Sakaluran, and Pangasinan Rep. Ramon Guico Jr.
