Drug suspect yields P170K shabu in Pasay City

Authorities arrested a drug suspect and confiscated P170,000 worth of shabu in Pasay City on Friday, Jan. 31.

The Southern Police District (SPD) identified the suspect as alias “Francis,” 39. He was arrested during a search operation conducted by the Pasay City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) in coordination with personnel from the Malibay Substation.

The search warrant was issued by Judge Rowena Nieves Tan of the Pasay City Regional Trial Court, Branch 118, on Jan. 30 for the arrest of the suspect.

Seized during the operation were 25 grams of shabu placed in one medium-sized ziplock transparent plastic sachet and five small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets worth P170,000, a pink and dark blue pouch, a P500 bill, and two P100 bills.

The suspect is detained at the SDEU custodial facility and will face charges for violating Section 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
