DepEd Secretary Sonny Angara said the partnership between DepEd and Nestlé Philippines through the Nestlé Wellness Campus Program is “more than a contract” — it is a “promise” for the future of Filipino students.
“Together, we aim to nurture champions — champions in sports, champions in academics, and champions in life,” he added.
The partnership seeks to instill healthy habits among students, equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary to make informed dietary choices that support their overall well-being.
To encourage learners to adopt a healthy and active lifestyle, DepEd expressed support for the Nestlé Wellness Campus Program at Taguig Integrated School earlier this week.

Angara was accompanied by officials from DepEd, Nestlé, and Taguig City Mayor Lani Cayetano during the school visit.
During the visit, Angara also took the time to chat with local DepEd officials in Taguig and checked the “Gulayan sa Paaralan” at the school.
Established in 2013, the Nestlé Wellness Campus Program is the flagship advocacy aimed at educating children and their families on healthier food choices and lifestyle habits.
The program is implemented across various regions, including the National Capital Region (NCR), Calabarzon, Bicol, Eastern, Central, and Western Visayas, North Mindanao, and Davao.
DepEd said that through the program, modules are provided for Grades 1 to 10 — focusing on nutrition, physical activity, and reading food labels.
Additionally, activities such as the Wellness Song and Dance aim to promote physical fitness among students, parents, and teachers.
Facebook communities also support the wellness of DepEd educators and parents, while inter-school and inter-region competitions recognize schools, divisions, and regions for impactful wellness activities.
