Oriental Mindoro Electric Cooperative General Manager Humphrey A. Dolor said the two-day event at their Training and Assessment Center in Barangay Tacligan will show the unique skills of electric linemen in various events such as pole climbing, conducting riding, knot tying, and pole dressing.
Dolor said the competition seeks to encourage participants to bring out the value of sportsmanship, honesty, and integrity that can be applied to their line of work.
Winners will represent the region in the inter-regional electric cooperative linemen rodeo competition in Batangas in February.
Competing areas are Palawan, Romblon, Marinduque, Busuanga Island, Tablas Island, Oriental Mindoro, and Occidental Mindoro.
