Princess Galarpe Marcial, the wife of Tokyo Olympics bronze medalist Eumir Marcial, accused her husband of infidelity and physical abuse, revealing details of how she caught the well-known boxer with his alleged mistress while also sharing her personal battle with trauma and emotional stress in a social media post Friday, Jan. 10.

Breaking her silence through Facebook, Princess alleged that her marriage with the middleweight contender hit rough waters last year after she discovered Eumir's affair with a fellow Zamboangueño native in a rented condominium in Pasay City.

Despite efforts to mend things, their relationship turned worst after she alleged Eumir of physical and emotional abuse, and even "withdrew all our savings" to build a house in Marcial's hometown.

For these reasons, Princess has taken legal actions against the boxer and filed a case at the Office of the City Prosecutor in Pasay City on Friday.

"So much has happened in the past few months. I have had to deal with such difficult events in my personal life that took a toll on my mental and emotional health. Particularly, things in my marriage with Eumir that I may have kept out of the public," she wrote.

"I feel like I owe it to myself to share the truth to everyone who has been there from the very beginning of our relationship, who witnessed our marriage, until now that it has been deeply wounded me by it, 14 years later," she added. 

Princess also alleged that Eumir has sent her threats, with the former also concerned about her safety due to the boxer's "connections who are very much capable of influencing the outcome of this case."

Manila Bulletin tried to reach Eumir for comment but has yet to receive a response as of posting time.
