DPWH opens flyover in Batangas City


BATANGAS CITY – The Department of Public Works and Highways 4-A (Calabarzon) on Wednesday, Jan. 8, inaugurated the Balagtas Flyover in Barangay Balagtas here.

THE Balagtas Flyover in Batangas City opened on Jan. 8.

The event was led by DPWH Region 4-A Assistant Regional Director Joel F. Limpengco, representing DPWH 4-A Regional Director Jovel Mendoza, DPWH-Batangas 2nd District Engineering Office District Engineer Sonia D. Paglicauan, Construction Division chief Robert L. Naval, Batangas Rep. Marvey A. Mariño, Vice Mayor Alyssa Renee A. Cruz-Atienza here, and Barangay Balagtas Chairwoman Cynthia A. Culla.  

Limpengco said the Balagtas Flyover enhances daily commutes, strengthens connectivity, and fosters closer ties between communities.

The 1.4-kilometer Balagtas Flyover was built for P747.65 million and has two alignments.  One alignment provides direct access to Batangas Port while the other connects to Batangas City Proper.
