Germany's envoy to the Philippines believes that the two countries will be able to achieve more together in terms of bilateral cooperation in 2025.
In a video message, German Ambassador Andreas Pfaffernoschke looked back on the achievements, the growth, and the shared accomplishments made by both countries that he said were "remarkable".
""As we celebrated the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between our two countries, 2024 was colored by historic visits by German Federal Minister Annalena Baerbock, Federal Defense Minister Boris Pistorius, and two ships from the German Navy," he said.
"As well as of course, the visit of President Ferdinand Bongbong Marcos Jr. to Germany," he added.
Pfaffernoschke said these visits serve as a testament to the two countries' partnership fueled by shared values and commitment to the rules-based international order across the world.
"I am deeply grateful for the strong bond between our nations and the friendship we've cultivated along the way," he said.
"This partnership will enable us to navigate through challenging times which might be ahead of us," he added.
Pfaffernoschke called on both countries to look forward to 2025 with courage and determination, "knowing that together we can continue achieving great things."
