BI sets up e-library

The Bureau of Immigration (BI) has launched an e-library which "is not just a repository of documents, but a vital tool in the ongoing modernization efforts."

Commissioner Norman Tansingco said said the e-library, which was launched last Sept. 6,  "will enhance transparency, streamline our processes, and ensure that important information is accessible to all who need it."

“This move toward digitalization marks our commitment to building a more efficient, responsive, and modern bureau,” he said.

He also said that "the e-library will allow our employees, researchers, and policymakers to retrieve and update relevant information quickly, helping us stay responsive to the changing demands of our work."

The e-library, he also said, is "a centralized digital platform where all BI issuances, including memoranda and administrative orders, are stored.”

“Users can easily access these documents through the platform using simple search functions by author, title, or date of issue,” he added.
