4 NPA rebels surrender in Batangas


CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna – Four New People's Army rebels have surrendered to the police in Batangas province.

One of the surrendeters were identified as Ka Benji, 42, of the Milisya ng Bayan of the Sub-Regional Military Area 4-C under Combat Support Element 3 and included in Periodic Status Report Listed in the first quarter of 2024.

He turned over a caliber .38 revolver, a 40-mm grenade, three blasting caps, three assorted wires, two boxes of ammonium nitrate, two detonating cords, a battery, and an electric match wire.

The other surrenderers were identified as May, who was in the PSRL, and Ella and Mayet, both in the non-periodic status report listed.

They surrendered a caliber .38 revolver, 750 grams of Ammonium Nitrate Fuel Oil, a detonating cord, a time fuse, grenade, and a rifle-propelled grenade. 

The rebel returnees are in the custody of the Batangas Provincial Mobile Force Company for custodial debriefing and processing of their Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program applications.
