3 American 'pedophiles' denied entry to Philippines -- BI


Three convicted American pedophiles have been barred entry to the Philippines, the Bureau of Immigration (BI) said on Friday, August 9.

BI Commissioner Norman Tansingco identified them as James Nicholas Ibach, 36, Eusebio Garcia Gallegos, 78, and Clifton Lee Vaughn, 59, who have all been placed in the bureau's blacklist.

The BI said that Ibach was intercepted upon his arrival at the Mactan International Airport last August 1 upon arrival from Taiwan  It said that in 2019, Ibach "was convicted of possession and control of obscene photographs depicting a minor in sexual conduct."

It said that Gallegos was denied entry upon his arrival at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) from Guam. It also said that “Gallegos was convicted by a Texas court in 2003 for engaging in indecent acts and contact with a child."

Vaughn, on the other hand, was also intercepted at NAIA last August 5 upon arrival from Taiwan. The BI said that Vaughn had been convicted by a Missouri court in 1983 for “sexual abuse in the first degree for committing sodomy against a 10-year-old girl.”
