DSWD burial assistance available through select providers. Find out where

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) reaffirmed that “guarantee letters” under the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) are accepted by select funeral parlors and memorial service providers nationwide to provide burial assistance to families facing financial difficulties.

A guarantee letter is a document issued by the DSWD to service providers, ensuring payment for burial or medical expenses on behalf of the beneficiary.

“Individuals in crisis situations who need assistance for the burial expenses of their loved ones can request for a guarantee letter from the DSWD. We have partner funeral homes and memorial service providers that accept DSWD-issued GLs to render the services stated in the letter,” DSWD Assistant Secretary Irene Dumlao, the agency’s spokesperson, said on Friday, Aug. 23.

To support those in need, the DSWD has provided a list of participating providers.

Some of the service providers in Metro Manila that accept DSWD guarantee letters are Almo Funeral & Mortuary Services, Inc.; Cosmopolitan Memorial Chapels & Crematory; Del Mundo Funeral Services; Dr. Jesus C. Delgado Memorial Hospital; I.P. Tajuna Funeral Service; Jara Funeral Services; Kua Mads Funeral Services (Santiago's); MBG Funeral Services.

The following providers are also participating: Ambassador Funeral Homes Corp; Mesina Funeral Homes Co.; WYN Funeral Services; St. Matthew Funeral Homes; Ilagan Memorial Homes; St. James Memorial Chapel; St. Eldrich Funeral Services; Rizal Funeral Homes Inc.; Catalonia Funeral Homes; Alexandria Funeral Services; Our Lady of Loreto Funeral Services; HPT Funeral Services; Malaya Funeral Corporation; Funeraria Royale Inc.; Eastern Funeral Services; Ka Andres Memorial Chapel; Dulce Memorial Service.

Moreover, the following providers are included: Arlington Memorial Chapels; La Rosa Memorial Services; Dayao Funeral Home, Incorporated; Crismar Funeral Homes; People Funeral Service Inc.; Amaryllis Memorial Services; Mother Jeronima Funeral Services; Funeraria Quiogue; Funeraria Filipinas Inc.; A&J Biglang -Awa Funeral Homes; Nardo N. Quinones (Puneraria Ni Bossing Nards); K.A Philip Sabino Funeral Service; Plainview Custodial Home; BVL Funeral Homes Services; Mesina Funeral Homes Co.; and De Ocampo Memorial College Inc.
