Korean actor Song Joong-ki, wife expecting second baby

Korean actor Song Joong-ki, star of the drama “Vincenzo,” and his wife are expecting their second baby.

It was reported on July 8 that his wife, British actress Katy Louise Saunders, is pregnant with their second baby.

The announcement came a year after Saunders gave birth to their first baby, a son, in Rome, Italy, her hometown.

“Today, I came to greet you because I wanted to tell you one more dream-like news first. “I am in Italy now. I finally met my baby here in Rome, my wife's hometown. He's a healthy son. The baby and the mother are in good health. I am taking care of my family very happily with a grateful heart,” Song Joong-ki posted on June 14, 2023 on his fan cafe.

On Jan. 30 last year, Song Joong-ki announced that he and Saunders registered their marriage with their first baby on the way.

“And today [Jan. 30], we are on our way back after registering our marriage to start our lives as a couple based on deep trust and love,” he announced on his fan cafe.

He said, “Naturally, we wished for the dream of creating a happy family together. We've put in a lot of effort to keep our promises to each other, and thankfully, a precious life has come together between the two of us.”

Song Joong-ki was previously married to actress Song Hye-kyo. They divorced in 2019.
