Offices with "essential functions" were guaranteed to be operational in the House of Representatives in Batasang Pambansa Complex, Quezon City on Thursday, July 25.

This, after work was suspended in the lower chamber for the third straight day amid Typhoon "Carina's" onslaught.

"The entire Metro Manila has been placed under a state of calamity due to the flooding and continuous rains caused by Typhoon Carina. In view of this, work in the House of Representatives shall remain suspended on July 25, 2024," read an advisory issued by House Secretary General Reginald Velasco.
