Congratulations to the Society of Philippine Entertainment Editors (SPEED) for having come up with generally sound choices in recently held 7th EDDYs. The EDDYs continues to aspire to be a credible award-giving body in the movie industry, effecting change.
QC Councilor Alfred Vargas is venturing into more theatrical productions following his involvement in Tanghalang Ateneo’s recent staging of Multo. The recent Famas best actor isn’t discounting the possibility of acting in a stage play again. He notes that the theater scene has become livelier in contrast to films.
On the romance side, Oyo Sotto and Kristine Hermosa recently celebrated their 13th anniversary as a married couple. Already blessed with five children, they are now anticipating birth of their sixth. Kristine, still lovely after all these years, has managed to ignore offers for her to return to acting. Former teammate Jericho Rosales has said that one of his dream projects is a reunion film with Kristine.
Unbreakable is how Barbie Forteza and Jak Roberto describe their relationship which started in 2017. Barbie may have another actor for a loveteam but she maintains that her personal life with Jak is solid as a rock. They’re even talking about marriage already, she said.
