Chinese with 'fake' Philippines tourist visa intercepted at NAIA -- BI

A Chinese national with a "fake" Philippines tourist visa was intercepted at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) last July 8, the Bureau of Immigration (BI) said.

In a statement, the BI identified the Chinese national as Su Wenpeng whose 9(a) tourist visa has "inconsistencies."

“Upon document checking under the BI’s forensic documents laboratory, it was confirmed that the visa he presented was counterfeit,” it disclosed.

Thus, the BI said immigration officers immediately intercepted Su for being likely to be a public charge and for being improperly documented.

“As a consequence of his exclusion, Su’s name will be included in the BI’s blacklist, barring any future attempts to re-enter the Philippines,” it said.
