The International WeLoveU Foundation, in association with the UN Department of Global Communications, inaugurated last May 30, 2024 the Mom’s Garden Project in Montalban, Rizal, planting fruit-bearing tree saplings as part of a global movement to save the environment.

The tree-planting event was held in Barangay Macabud, Montalban, and participated by 42 individuals, including WeLoveU youth members, their associates, and friends. They planted a variety of tree saplings, such as guyabano, mango, bignay, pomelo, anonas, and star apple, along the hillsides.

Despite the early morning start and the sweltering heat, participants engaged eagerly, forming small groups to transport trees, dig holes, and plant saplings meticulously. Cher, 21, expressed her satisfaction, emphasizing the importance of tree planting for future generations and her pride in being part of the WeLoveU Foundation.

He expressed gratitude for WeLoveU's support in restoring vital ecosystems and committed to ensuring the trees' long-term care and maturity.

The Mom’s Garden Project holds particular significance in addressing local challenges. Its focus on fruit trees aligns with efforts to bolster the local economy. Beyond tree planting, WeLoveU has been actively involved in sustainable development endeavors, including environmental clean-ups, blood drives, and infrastructure installations.
