Senior citizen shot dead in Quezon

SAN ANDRES, Quezon â€“ A senior citizen was gunned down in Sitio Janza, Barangay Camflora, this town, on Saturday, June 29.

Police identified the victim as Henry AriÃ±ola, 68.

Investigation said the victim was resting in a hammock and talking to his daughter Alma through video call at 7:45 p.m. when a man appeared and shot him.

The suspect fled on foot towards the mountainous area of San Francisco, Quezon.

The victim was taken to the rural health unit where he was declared dead.

Police are conducting follow-up investigation.
