The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) is reviewing the partnership between its attached agency, the Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC), and ScamWatch, a privately-funded organization helping the government educate Filipinos in cyber fraud.

DICT Undersecretary Jeffrey Ian Dy revealed this on Wednesday, June 26, during an ambush interview after a Palace press briefing.
 

The review will come after Manila Bulletin tech editor Art Samaniego, one of the founders and a co-lead convenor of ScamWatch, was embroiled in the alleged hacking of multiple government websites, Facebook accounts, and banks.
