While dark clouds loomed outside, Shopee's "Summer Surprise" event brought sunshine and hot deals!  Shopee announced exciting new features geared towards making online shopping easier and more enjoyable, especially for Gen Zs.   Shopee further brightened the day by announcing BINI, a popular girl group, as their new brand ambassador.

Recognizing Gen Z's huge potential, Shopee and Kantar teamed up to study what Gen Z wants and needs when it comes to online shopping.  The information gathered was then used to create features that will make shopping on Shopee a breeze.

Study revealed that the value-driven and tech-savvy Gen Zs thoroughly researches and value quality assurance before making a purchase.  Shopee leveraged their findings to develop new features, ultimately enhancing the overall shopping experience.  Huiyan Pan, Shopee Regional Marketing Lead shares, "With Ang Dali-Dali Shopee, we want to assure users that they can shop online with greater confidence and ease."

Here are Shopee's new features:

COD Unbox:  Return on the Spot:  This feature allows the shopper to open and check their Cash-On-Delivery (COD) parcel upon delivery.   Users can then easily return the item to the delivery rider if in cases of wrong delivery, damaged or missing item.

More flexibility with Free and Easy Returns:  This is an upgraded feature of Shopee's return and refund policy.  Requests for returns or refunds will now be handled by Shopee directly through its Return/Refund feature.  A "Change of Mind" option is also added for easy returns if the product's fit and style don't suit the shopper.

Discount Vouchers with Shopee On-Time Delivery:  Free discount vouchers will be given to shoppers if their orders arrive beyond the delivery date.  This reinforces Shopee's commitment to timely deliveries.

Authenticity, social connectivity and individuality - these are the traits Gen Zs value.  The same goes with the popular Pinoy girl group BINI.  As such they have been chosen as Shopee's newest brand ambassador.
